Bar

The bar has a traditional English feel and incorporates all the great features you would come to expect from a pub in the heart of the Devonshire countryside. We have a wide range of acoholic and soft drinks, snacks are available and we have excellent recreational facilities including a pool table, dart board and juke box. There is also outside seating to the front and rear for those sunny peaceful afternoons which we are accustomed to here in North Devon. Add a touch of friendly service from the experienced bar staff and we guarantee you'll have a great time.

Beers

We serve a range of lagers including Stella Artois, Grolsh and Carling on draught and corona and Becks in bottles. Our two permanent real ales are London Pride and a local Brew, Firing Squad which is brewed just outside of Barnstaple here in North Devon.

Wines and spirits

By the glass, our red wine is a Spanish Tempranillo, and our whites come in a medium South African Chenin Blanc and a dry Australian Chardonnay.

We also have a good selection of bottled wines to be enjoyed with your meal. Feel free to ask for our recommendations.

We stock the usual range of quality spirits and also house double whisky, vodka, gin and brandy at £2 each.

Feature :: Morte Point

Many of our customers and guests comment on the unmistakable beauty of ancient Morte Point. The headland offers stunning views South accross Woolacombe Bay or North to the Welsh coast on a clear day.

There is easy access via the residential lane next to The Smugglers Rest and the short walk takes in the secluded Rockham Bay.
